The Library Science Program is offered uniquely at the graduate level in Québec and Canada. Future students should have completed a bachelor degree of their choice to apply to the program. The master degree program duration is of two years (full time sudents). For Archival Studies, the University of British Colombia is the only Canadian University to offer a master degree entirely dedicated to this field. McGill Graduate School of Library and Information Studies (GSLIS) Programs « Starting with the 2005-2006 academic year, GSLIS will be pleased to offer areas of specialization within the MLIS degree. All incoming students must declare a specialization before beginning their first semester at GSLIS.
